The existing tool has a complex interface that only technical users can understand, leading to difficulties for non-technical users and slowing down the integration process.

Manual Input

The current workflow is cumbersome and time-consuming, requiring extensive manual input and technical knowledge

Objective

Guided Workflow Creation

Leveraging Machine learning for a guided workflows or suggestions based on user inputs, helping users create integrations more efficiently

Minimizing User Input

Giving users recommendations based on their choices and not requiring them to create a manual workflow

Solutions

Concept 1

Use a step by step method to facilitate user to create an integration. Suggest succeeding step using previous selections

Concept 2

User searches and is given recommendations based on their choices. User can modify their choices without going back within search

Concept 3

Chatbot, with suggested options based on data collected overtime. Requires minimal user input

Final Designs

We decided to go with the concept 3, because:

  • Users could type and choose from system suggestions

  • They didn’t need to switch between screens to change their choices

Impact

  • Time to create integration went down to 5-10 minutes from 40 minutes

  • 80% reduction observed in errors reported in dashboard
